Elder Awareness June.15/2025

Our program put on a couple presentations at two of the blocks here in Selkirk. We want to thank Lisa Tinley for presenting and educating us all on elder abuse, all the different forms and how to recognize it.

Manitoba 55+ Games

This year we were lucky enough to have our new van and able to take a few seniors with us out to Steinbach to attend the 55+ games. We were able to enjoy watching a baseball game, some bowling where we cheered on some players from Selkirk, and then we enjoyed a nice lunch. Great job to everyone who participated and also to those of you who showed up to cheer them on!

Wildfires in Manitoba

When our office heard about all the fires and how they were affecting all of these communities we had to find a way to help. We took our donations we had of blankets, toys, and clothes and also purchased some toiletries, briefs and non-perishable food to donate. Thank you to Ruth Hooker school for accepting our donations and getting them to the place where they can be distributed to the people that need them the most. Our thoughts are with everyone that has been affected by these fires and we will continue to help where we can.
